No, really, everything.

Andrew McCutchen leads the Pirates in average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, home runs, runs batted in, runs scored, walks (tied with Neil Walker), doubles, triples and stolen bases.

Root Sports Pittsburgh points out that he?s the first player to lead a team in all of those categories this late into the season since the Astros? Jose Cruz in 1984.

With a .342/.397/.586 line, McCutchen currently ranks sixth in the NL in OPS. He?s a big reason the Pirates are just two games back of the Reds in the NL Central, and he?d have to be in the top five in NL MVP balloting at the moment. Personally, I?d probably put him third behind Joey Votto and R.A. Dickey.

There is one word of warning here, though: McCutchen also appeared to be in the midst of a breakthrough season at this time last year, only to disappoint in the second half. He?s performing better now than he was then, but he needs to keep it going for a full year to truly establish himself as a superstar.

1D's Niall Horan relives the 'absolutely nuts' fan reaction during the band's Up All Night tour and tells us which city has been the rowdiest.

One Direction have been taking their boy band antics across the States since May for their first-ever American headlining tour. And, with only days left on the massive Up All Night jaunt, 1D-er Niall Horan, recalled with MTV News the "absolutely nuts" time they've had.

"It's been, as you can see clearly, it's been absolutely nuts. We're still trying to get out head around it," he said, hours before hitting the stage in Charlotte. "It's been crazy. We've had a lot of fun ... we're doing these things called sheds, so they're outside and inside. There are like 20,000 people on an outdoor gig and they're really good to do. They're really fun. It's really warm outside and the crowds, they're amazing."

With fans doing anything they can to get the guys' attention while they're on stage (including throwing bras at them) Niall says that the last few shows have included far fewer undergarments being tossed at the stage.

"They've kind of toned it down a little bit. It was worse. Now it's kind of iPhones and keys, which are kind of dangerous.

"When we were in New York, we were on our day off and me and Liam [Payne] was going down the street with one of our security guards and we got absolutely mobbed by like 600 people in Times Square," he said. "I thought 'There is literally not one place I can walk down the street.' "

But, it's not just screaming girls who are turning out to see the guys. Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell tweeted about attending the 1D show in Atlanta, a show that just happened to be one of Niall's favorites (or at least the loudest). "We didn't have a clue what we were singing. We couldn't hear anything," he said. "We're very lucky we've got amazing crowds. We never have a bad crowd. We're very lucky we kind of get the adrenaline rush off them."

While Atlanta may have been the rowdiest show, New Jersey remains Niall's favorite for the opposite reason. "Harry [Styles] got the crowd to take their phones and lights out of their pocket and we turned off the lights so you couldn't see the crowd and all you could see are the lights swaying," he said. "I think that was a special night cause we thought it's all very high-energy, but when the show is taken down like a somber level it's quite nice."

Channing Tatum and Will Arnett to Play Superman and Batman

Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller made names for themselves with their feature debut, the animated Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, before moving on to direct Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the live-action hit 21 Jump Street. As they work up their next film ? WB's live-action/CG blend LEGO adaptation, apparently titled Lego: The Piece of Resistance, based on the plastic toy building blocks ? the duo are casting a few familiar superheroes to appear in the pic.

Variety reports that Lord and Miller have tapped Will Arnett to voice LEGO Batman in the adventure, with the hope that Tatum can find room in his schedule to come on as LEGO Superman. They'd be joining Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt, who leads the pic after recent turns in Moneyball, What's Your Number, and The Five-Year Engagement. Pratt and Tatum also co-star in the indie high school reunion drama Ten Year, which is slated for release through Anchor Bay, while Tatum of course starred in 21 Jump Street for Lord and Miller, with hilarious results.

The synopsis, via Variety: "Pratt will play Emmet, an ordinary, law-abiding, Lego mini-figure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary MasterBuilder. He's drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together." Of course, there's no indication of just how big the parts of LEGO Batman and Superman will be in the film, but the cheeky, geeky move should get DC/LEGO fans excited nonetheless. The parts are all falling into place...

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) ? When an oil tycoon's fishing boat washed ashore near Fort Lauderdale this week, the lights were on and the engines were running, but the owner was nowhere to be found.

After a two-day search, authorities suspended the hunt for Guma Aguiar, a millionaire known for his philanthropy and sometimes erratic behavior. He struggled with mental illness exacerbated by court battles with family members over his vast fortune.

His disappearance has puzzled both his family and authorities.

Surveillance video showed him talking on the phone Tuesday night outside his $5 million waterfront home, grabbing what appears to be a pair of shorts and getting into the boat alone. Seas were rough, though, and police questioned why an experienced boater such as Aguiar would venture out in undesirable conditions.

His wallet and cell phone were still on the 31-foot boat when it was discovered beached Wednesday morning about three miles from the home he shares with his wife and four children. There was no blood or signs of a struggle on the vessel, police said.

Authorities were working with the Coast Guard to analyze the boat's GPS and sifting through Aguiar's cell phone records to see if any calls were made before the boat ran aground. The search over land and water covered a combined area roughly the size of Rhode Island.

On Friday, the shades were drawn at Aguiar's property and no one answered the door. His wife declined comment through a family spokesman and his mother's phone had been temporarily disconnected. Friends declined to talk on the record to The Associated Press.

Aguiar made a fortune in 2006 when the Texas-based energy company he ran with his uncle was sold for a reported $2.5 billion. But he has been locked in a contentious legal battle with his uncle over money.

His wife's attorneys said they were horrified by Ellen Aguiar's attempts to gain control of the estate, saying it has only added to the family's stress.

"She files motions in courts trying to take over everything while the divers are still out looking for Guma's body," said attorney Bill Scherer. "It's bizarre."

He planned to respond her motion, but said everything is premature right now.

Scherer said the past year was especially difficult for Jamie Aguiar, who was pregnant while her husband was hospitalized for mental illness. He moved back into the house after he was released several months ago and has been more emotionally stable since then, Scherer said.

"She's hoping that he's had another mental breakdown and that he's out there somewhere and will come walking back when he gets himself stabilized," he said.

Family members said the legal battles had taken an emotional toll on Aguiar in recent years. His family checked him into a psychiatric hospital in Tel Aviv in 2010 after claiming he entered the Gaza Strip and met with an Israeli soldier held there by Hamas militants. Aguiar's family said at the time he'd been under "intensive emotional pressures" and "psychological terrorism," because of the lawsuit.

There were other signs of trouble at home.

His wife filed a domestic violence order against him last summer. A short time later, he filed for dissolution of marriage, but both were voluntarily dismissed, according to court documents. Around that same time, his wife and mother successfully petitioned a Miami-Dade County judge to appoint an emergency guardian for him for 90 days.

In 2009, he pleaded no contest to drug charges after deputies said they found marijuana in his Bentley during a traffic stop.

Aguiar has given millions to Israeli and Jewish causes. While he was raised Christian, his mother is Jewish, and he converted to Judaism about a decade ago.

Scientists have created versions of the H5N1 bird flu that spread easily among mammals through droplets in sneezes and have concluded that it is certainly possible the deadly virus could trigger a global pandemic in humans.

At the same time, the study ushers in a new and uncertain era for the study of such dangerous agents as bird flu, anthrax and Ebola virus. Experts said they expected continued wrangling over what research should be conducted, by whom, and under what closely monitored restrictions.

"It's still unclear, once research is identified as dual-use research of concern, what happens next," said Richard Webby, a flu researcher at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., who was not involved with Fouchier's paper but supported his efforts. "Is there an appropriate strategy for mitigating risk other than 'Don't do the research?' "

For bird flu, that has been a difficult question to answer.

The pathogen has killed millions of birds. It has also been deadly, if rare, in humans. The World Health Organization has confirmed 606 cases of H5N1 infection in people since 2003. Nearly 60% of those cases were fatal, suggesting that the virus has the potential to wipe out millions of people if it became widespread.

Thus far, humans haven't caught H5N1 easily. But virologists like Fouchier wanted to know whether that might change.

Working in high-security laboratories, Fouchier and his colleagues at Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam took an H5N1 strain isolated from a human in Indonesia and added three mutations thought to have helped fuel global flu pandemics in 1918, 1957 and 1968.

The researchers infected ferrets with the engineered H5N1 by squirting it into their noses. The changes in the virus increased the viral load in the ferrets' upper respiratory tracts but didn't make the pathogen contagious through droplets. Neither did adding a fourth mutation.

So the team next allowed the virus to mutate inside the ferrets' bodies. They took samples from the noses of infected animals and used them to infect others. After 10 passes, the virus had acquired enough changes to pass through the air between ferrets in adjacent cages.

The animals infected by airborne droplets suffered lethargy and loss of appetite, but they did not die from their illnesses.

In a companion study also published in Science, researchers tried to assess the likelihood that the combinations of mutations identified in Fouchier's experiments ? as well as genetic changes seen in a similar H5N1 ferret experiment by University of Wisconsin researcher Yoshihiro Kawaoka ? might arise on their own.

Derek Smith, an infectious disease researcher at the University of Cambridge in England, and colleagues looked at H5N1 strains already circulating in birds and humans to figure out how many key mutations each strain might require to infect mammals through the air. They also developed a computer model to examine the biological factors influencing whether those mutations could evolve in a host during a five-day flu infection.

With so many unknowns about H5N1, Smith's team didn't arrive at an absolute measurement of risk. But the study points to factors virologists and epidemiologists should track as they continue to monitor the virus.

Smith compared the H5N1 threat to the earthquake risk posed by the San Andreas fault. "It really is real, but we just don't know how real yet," he said. "What we know from our study is that it's active and it could go off."

It will take more experiments like Fouchier's to find additional triggers and assess the risk more precisely, Smith added.

But part of the legacy of Fouchier's research, as well as Kawaoka's, could be to slow the progress of such dual-use projects.

U.S. officials issued a policy in March requiring federal agencies that fund or conduct biological research to report to the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism when they have experiments underway that qualify as dual-use research of concern. Researchers also must develop plans to limit risks, but the policy doesn't lay out how those plans should be assembled.

"In the abstract, it's easy to say we need to mitigate the risk," said Carrie Wolinetz, a vice president at the Assn. of American Universities, which lobbies for increased research funding. "But where this plays out in terms of research processes is difficult to figure out."

In one of several commentaries that accompany the Science papers, Wolinetz pointed out that the new policy wouldn't have covered some notorious dual-use experiments from the past, including an Australian study that inadvertently increased the virulence of mousepox and thus revealed how the same might be done for smallpox.

Mark Frankel, director of the Scientific Responsibility, Human Rights and Law Program at the American Assn. for the Advancement of Science (which publishes Science), worried that more red tape would discourage researchers from pursuing H5N1 work. The publication of Fouchier's paper was delayed in part because the Dutch government made him apply for permission to submit his work to Science, on the grounds that the research should be regulated as the export of weapons technology, he wrote in one of the other commentaries.

The U.S. government isn't finished addressing H5N1 research and plans to release additional guidelines to help research institutions manage the risks of dual-use research of concern, Fauci said.

In his view, he added, the benefit of studying H5N1 "far outweighs" any potential danger.
