Beau Hindman streaming 24 hours of gaming for Extra Life ...

Massively settles in for 24 hours of gaming for Extra Life charity

News as per Massively Network that we obtained:

It?s that time of year again! What time, you say? After all, it?s too early for Halloween and Thanksgiving. It?s never too early for games, though, and it?s time to play them for 24 hours straight and raise money for Extra Life and the Children?s Miracle Network Hospital! I?ve participated in this event for the last several years, sometimes taking along other friends, co-workers and wives. This year is no different and in order to keep me awake and on my toes I will be live streaming the entire event on our very own MassivelyTV channel. That?s right: you can watch as I slowly disintegrate into a pile of goo over the course of the day. Don?t fret? a lot of other gamers and developers will be participating, so I won?t feel alone. You can join my team if you want to game all day or just donate directly to my page.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday, October 20th, I will begin broadcasting a list of approximately 24 games randomly chosen throughout the day. There?s no real science to it, and if I happen to be having a ton of fun in one particular game then I might just continue playing it. Feel free to come suggest games in the chat room. I might even have another Massively staffer or two jump on the stream with me, or take over the stream when I need to fix a sandwich.

The real reason I?ll be there is to raise money for sick kids. Every cent goes to the charity, and so far Extra Life has raised millions! Wish me luck.

?

?

Oh, Boy! that was a major chunk that we obtained from them. However one question remains tinted in our minds. Why Only Extra Life and Why not Akshaya Patra? Which feeds Billions of Kids as a part of their Mid-day Meal Program? And each donation whether big or small can really help them.

Akshaya Patra Foundation

It is not just what they feed but the real hygiene that they follow right from preparation of the food to transport till the food the served and again back to the Kitchen.

You can support them directly by a? donation and yes the major thing is that you can get IT Exemption Certificate for the amount that you have donated for?. Isn?t that Really Great???

Akshaya Patra Foundation also Provides 2 types of Donation Scheme via Online and Offline

It also Accepts all major Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Internet Transfer, Wire Transfer, Paypal and more upon that you will be eligible for Income Tax Certificate for the amount that you have donated.
Isn?t it great?

You may visit the website and donate the amount:
Akshaya Patra Website.

They also provide Chat Support, Phone support , email support for any inquiry.

By donating a small amount you can join them by lending a helping hand for the cause.

Home Staging Success: Do Your Best? and Forget the Rest | CSP ...

Running a business ? any business ? can be very stressful at times. Between managing employees, keeping customers happy, and trying to pay the bills, there is plenty for a business owner to worry about on a daily basis. Home staging is certainly no exception ? stress is a fact of life. But while it?s normal to experience stress from time to time, when stress becomes constant and debilitating, you have a serious problem. If you?re too stressed out to function effectively, let alone make the right decisions for the future, your business is at serious risk.

If you can identify with any of these feelings, here?s a solution that works for many people. Focus on doing your best? and forget the rest. Now what does that really mean? It means acknowledging there are certain factors beyond your control, and stressing about those factors is literally a pointless waste of time and energy. When you learn to differentiate between the factors you can control and those you can?t, it becomes much easier to focus your energies and avoid stress.

Now, it is vital that you don?t take this philosophy too far. Don?t start to categorize things that you CAN control as things that are beyond your control. For instance, let?s say you?re launching a direct mail campaign. What CAN?T you control? Ultimately, you can?t make the recipients pick up the phone and call you. But you can control a whole lot of important details, such as?

  • Targeting the right audience.
  • Creating a visually effective mailing.
  • Choosing an appealing offer.
  • Timing the mailing properly.
  • Proofreading, etc.

In this example, there are a variety of details that you must worry about. (This is the ?Do your best? portion of the equation.) But ultimately, once you?ve done your due diligence, you have to sit back and wait for the phone to ring. At this point, stressing about your response rate and second-guessing your decisions is unproductive? and you shouldn?t do it! (?Forget the rest!?)

So how can you apply this philosophy to your life as a home staging professional? By breaking down? goals into short-term action items?so you can do the work that must be done, without worrying about the ?big picture? outcome. For instance, assume that one of your long-term goals is to boost your revenue to $50,000 annually. Rather than spending your day aimlessly hoping your business will grow, or even worse, becoming stressed about the LACK of growth, make a plan. Identify the factors? you can control, and set to work performing each of them to the best of your ability. Once you?ve done all that you can do, sit back, relax, and trust that you will reap the benefits of your hard work !

Stress can be debilitating for a small business owner. It?s important to learn to keep stress to a minimum in order to run your home staging business effectively. So the next time you feel stress creeping into your day, remember? do your best, and forget the rest!

The Rock Of Tallahassee Real Estate | Tallahassee.com Community ...

Florida REALTOR Ron Rock RiceWe are growing again at Century 21 Manausa and Associates, and we are truly excited to announce that Ron ?Rock? Rice has joined our team and expects to be a top Florida REALTOR.

Our focus on internet marketing for real estate and team based sales operations has attracted the attention of people from all around the world. I get regular correspondence from people who want to know more about excelling as a Florida REALTOR, and many who want to join us.

Florida REALTOR From Ohio

Florida real estate agent Ron Rock RiceRock is the first who has chosen to join us from out of State. He has been involved with sales and sales management for more than 20 years ?in the corporate world,? most recently in Ohio. Rock feels that he can bring elements of his B2B (business to business) sales experience to our operation as a Florida REALTOR.

Sales fundamentals do not change greatly from industry to industry, so Rock believes he can help improve our real estate service with a focus on those fundamentals.

Additionally, with most people in real estate coming from the local population base, we feel that a Florida REALTOR from outside the area might help us see aspects of our market that were previously unnoticed.

Florida REALTOR Changes

The internet has greatly changed the way we sell a home, thus the education and skills of a Florida REALTOR must evolve to embrace these technologies.

I am confident that Rock is going to help both our existing agents as well as all of our future agents become more proficient at employing the technologies that help us better serve our customers.

If you think you could be a great Florida REALTOR too, then just drop me a note and we can discuss what it takes to get started in an exciting real estate career.

If you are getting ready to hire a Florida REALTOR to help you sell your home, or to help you buy a home, then look no further than Century 21 Manausa and Associates because we have the best in the business!

EPL referee reports Twitter cancer abuse to police

Associated Press Sports

updated 3:13 p.m. ET Sept. 24, 2012

LONDON (AP) -Premier League referee Mark Halsey has asked police to investigate abusive comments about him on Twitter after officiating in the heated match between Liverpool and Manchester United.

The insulting online messages on Monday referenced Halsey's battle with throat cancer in 2009.

Halsey made two contentious decisions in United's 2-1 victory at Anfield on Sunday that went in favor of the visitors.

Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was sent off in the first half for a challenge on Jonny Evans, and United was later awarded a penalty kick that was scored by Robin van Persie.

Halsey returned to refereeing in March 2010 following his cancer battle.

No Premier League referees have Twitter accounts, according to the body that oversees match officials in England.

Subsidized Loan vs Unsubsidized Loan - Difference and - Diffen

Federal Direct Stafford Loans are low-interest loans that help students finance their postsecondary education by covering the cost of attendance. Subsidized loans offer better terms than unsubsidized loans and are available to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need. For subsidized loans, the U.S. Department of Education pays the interest while the student is enrolled at least half-time in school.

edit Types of student loans

Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans refer to Federal Direct Stafford Loans. There are two broad types of student loans:

  • Private student loan ? Loans by a lender such as a bank, credit union, state agency, or a school.
  • Federal student loan ? Funded by federal government. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be completed to avail or to check eligibility.
    • Federal Perkins loan - low-interest federal student loans for undergraduate and graduate students with exceptional financial need
    • Federal Direct Stafford Loans
      • Direct subsidized loan ? low-interest federal student loans for undergraduate students with financial need
      • Direct unsubsidized loan ? low-interest federal student loans for undergraduate and graduate students
      • Direct PLUS loans - federal loans for graduate or professional degree students and parents of dependent undergraduate students

edit Subsidized Loans

A subsidized Federal Direct Stafford Loan is based on financial need. It is only available to undergraduate students. The advantage of a subsidized loan is that federal government -- not the student -- pays the interest for the student during the following periods:

  • While the student is enrolled in school at least half time
  • During the six-month grace period after the student graduates, leaves school or drops below half-time enrollment
  • During a period of deferment (a period when payments of principal are temporarily postponed)

edit Unsubsidized Loans

An unsubsidized loan is available to all eligible students, whether graduate or undergraduate. There is no requirement to demonstrate financial need. The student is responsible to paying the interest on the loan throughout the life of the loan. However, if the student does not wish to service the loan while in school, the accrued interest is capitalized i.e. added to the outstanding principal.

edit Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for Federal Direct Stafford Loans, whether subsidized or unsubsidized, include:

  • U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens
  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis in an eligible program at an eligible school
  • Registered with the U.S. Selective Service System (for males not exempt from registration)

In addition, qualification for subsidized loans requires the student to demonstrate ongoing financial need. Financial need is the difference between Cost of Attendance (COA) of a school and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). After July 1, 2012, unsubsidized loans are no longer available to graduate students; they are for undergraduate students only.

edit Loan Terms

As explained in the overview, subsidized loans offer the advantage that the government pays the interest while the student is in school.

Each loan also has a grace period of six months. This is a period of time after borrowers graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment where they are not required to make payments on their federal student loans. Interest will accrue on subsidized loans made between July 1, 2012 and July 1, 2014, and all unsubsidized loans during grace periods. If the interest is not paid, it will be added to the principal balance of the loan when the repayment period begins.

In addition, Federal Direct loans also include a provision for deferment. Deferment is a postponement of payment on a loan that is allowed under certain conditions and during which interest does not accrue for subsidized loans. Unsubsidized loans that are deferred will continue to accrue interest and any accrued unpaid interest will be added to the principal balance (capitalized) of the loan at the end of the deferment period.

edit Interest Rate

The interest rates for the loans first disbursed between July 1, 2012 and July 30, 2013 are as follows:

Loan Type Interest Rate
Direct Unsubsidized LoanFixed at 6.8%
Direct PLUS Loans (Parents and graduates or professional students)Fixed at 7.9%
Direct Subsidized LoanFixed at 3.4%
Perkins LoanFixed at 5%

edit Amount You Can Borrow

In both unsubsidized and subsidized loans, the amount depends upon the Cost of Attendance. For subsidized loans, the student can only borrow up to an amount equal to the difference between the cost of attendance (COA) and the expected family contribution (EFC).

This chart, from US Dept. of Education shows the maximum annual and total loan limits for subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans as of July 1, 2012.

This chart provides maximum annual and total loan limits for subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans as of July 1, 2012.

edit Fees

The loan fees for federal student loans are:

  • 1% for Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans
  • 4% for Direct PLUS Loans

Perkins Loans do not have fees. Loan fees are deducted proportionately from each disbursement. This results in the actual amount received being less than the actual borrowed amount. The actual amount borrowed has to be repaid.

edit How to Apply

To apply for a Direct Loan, you must first complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSASM). Your school will use the information from your FAFSA to determine how much student aid you are eligible to receive. Direct Loans are generally included as part of your financial aid package.
